Ray E. Reichenberg, Ph.D.

Measurement Scientist & Quantitative Research Methodologist +

I have expertise in a wide variety of research designs (e.g., experimental, quasi-experimental, longitudinal) and quantitative techniques (e.g., latent variable modeling, causal models, Bayesian methods). I have particular expertise in psychometric methods with a focus on best practices for modeling data from rich assessments, such as games and simulations.

Educator +

I was originally an elementary/primary school educator by training. I have experience in instructional design and delivery for audiences from primary school to higher ed and the workplace. This experience gives me unique insights into the potential impact of the research we engage in.

Digital Learning Innovator +

I have always maintained a focus on innovation and next generation technologies in my research. My measurement work has focused on techniques (e.g., computational psychometrics) which are appropriate for the types of ‘big data’ environments today’s students learn in. Much of my applied research and product development work has sought to solve problems facing students learning in online/distance formats.
